Community Service

Please consider getting involved with the Community Service team! We do many terrific projects throughout the year, involving our pre-schoolers to benefit local organizations, including the Lexington Food Pantry, Cradles to Crayons, and COMPASS for kids, to name a few.

Please Volunteer: Volunteering for LexFUN! is a great way to meet people and have fun.  For more information about volunteer positions, please contact us at fiveandundernetwork@gmail.com.

Youville Place: LexFUN is pleased to partner with Youville Place for monthly events bringing seniors and youngsters together. Youville House and Youville Place Assisted Living Residences are not-for-profit and members of Covenant Health Systems, a Catholic, multi-institutional health and elder care organization serving New England. Youville Place, located close to Lexington Center, has been offering assisted living options to the community for over ten years. Their vibrant community provides a unique combination of comfort and social support. Seniors enjoy residence in an energetic community, while taking advantage of the dining, housekeeping and personal care services available. For more information about Youville Place, visit www.youvilleassistedliving.org. For more information about events with LexFUN and Youville, see our monthly calendar or contact Beth Ross at beth.ross@hotmail.com

Meals on Wheels: Every Friday we deliver meals for the Meals on Wheels program. The drive lasts about an hour and starts at 10:30 am. This is a fun and gratifying activity to do and you can bring your child with you. Drivers are asked to complete a CORI form available on-line or via mail, and provide a copy of their drivers license. If you have any questions, please contact Kate Colburn. CORI information can be found here.

Betsy, a young volunteer, delivers a meal to local resident Mary Beinar.
