WHAT: Join us for a one-day-only sale of gently used children’s clothing (size 0-6 months thru 8 years), toys and equipment. Clean out your closets, garage and playroom and earn cash for your unused and outgrown items. Shop a fantastic selection clothing, games, books, shoes, high chairs, ride on toys – all for children under age 8. Anyone can participate. You don’t need to be a Lexington resident or a LexFUN! member to shop the sale or consign goods.
WHY: If you participate as a seller in our sale, you will receive 50% of the proceeds from your items that sold. LexFUN!’s portion of the proceeds will go to our Preschool Scholarship Fund. Last year our consignors earned, collectively, over $8,000. Over $10,000 was raised for the scholarship fund.
BECOME A CONSIGNOR: Contact us to obtain a seller’s ID #, or use your ID# from last year. Download the Seller’s Kit (links above) for detailed directions, pricing guidelines and price tags. Collect your gently used children’s clothing, baby equipment (strollers, high chairs, bouncy seats, toys etc.), affix a LexFUN! price tag to each item, then drop off your goods at a designated time and location. A schedule of drop off days and times will be sent to consignors. At the end of the sale, all unsold items will be donated to charity and will not be returned to individual sellers. A check will be mailed to each consignor after the sale with individual proceeds.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES: We are looking for volunteers to help prepare for and staff the sale. We will hold sorting parties on Sunday, May 2nd from 7:30-9:00pm and on Monday, May 3rd from 9:30-11:30am. The greatest need for volunteers is on Friday, May 7th and Saturday, May 8th. A variety of time shifts are available between 9:00am - 9:00pm on Friday and between 8:00am -2:00pm on Saturday. As our thank you for your time, all volunteers will be able to pre-shop the sale on Friday, May 7th.
